Backdated Month-Old Blogroll Update

Last summer, Lawrence Lessig did a very gutsy thing for an academic in mid-career: He turned away from the work (still very much in progress) that had made his name and reputation in order to pursue the underlying conditions that made his original work so useful and timely:

I have decided to shift my academic work, and soon, my activism, away from the issues that have consumed me for the last 10 years, towards a new set of issues: Namely, these. “Corruption” as I’ve defined it elsewhere will be the focus of my work. For at least the next 10 years, it is the problem I will try to help solve.

That was in June. This September, we got the first taste:

On Tuesday I give my first cut at this question of corruption in a public lecture at Stanford.
